Has anyone else used this with u-war ace campaign? it shows the locations of the german a.i subs (named U-80,etc) which iv'e been able to find when i search said grid--also on some of the "received enemy convoy contact reports" via the radio-i ckecked the sh3gen map and found my fellow A.I. subs sitting in the grid where the convoy report was placed on the map (pretty neat even if it is coincidence)

But, i have not been able to find the scripted battle units (i.e. bismark,hipper,so on) on the gen map during the month the operation is set for. maybe i am not generating it at the right time, any one else been able to see them on the map??
One thing I found out during initial testing is that campaign mods ususally
concentrate on only some of the unit classes and also, only some geographic areas.

Sh3Gen is designed to check for all known unit classes, and that includes U-Boats (class 200), and all modelled geographic zones (see my too map at the beginning of the thread) - thats why some features/surprises will only show up with different campaigns.

Right now, the U-Boat number will merely be a random number, which is somewhat connected to the year (higher numbers later in the war), and of course the number will never show up twice. It's not what I want ultimately, but it works.

I had recently been in contact with malcymalc who considered supporting me by creating a basic U-Boat database, but I looks he doesn't have enough time, which I asbilutely undersrand. Maybe I should request JScones to allow me to use his U-Boat files for SH3Cmdr, which are pretty good.

Now if only something would happen to make me play SHIII again, and I would be making plans for new features already. So far, I am waiting for a mod that includes german U-Boats, a working damage mod and the additional merchants.

Are you able to check if there is anything special about the way they are modelled? For instance, is it possible they are included in the LND layer or something? I have already seen a lot of strange things with campaign mods (and I'd hope people would be more strict to the standards sometimes .. ). Otherwise, if they should show up, they should show up - I have complete trust in my parsers, as long as the data has the same structure as vanilla.
