You are very fortunate to have met him. I would have liked to have met him as well. I saw a documentary on the Tuskegee Airmen and Brig. Gen. Charles McGee was featured. A lot on bomber crews owe their very lives to these gentlemen. They were able to return home because of the efforts of these men. The " Red Tails " did it all.

He was a soft spoken man. We spoke for a good 10 minutes. He flew them all. He said his favorite is the P-51. I purchased his book and he signed it for me.
