In addition to what MM asks, the SH4.exe and the FileManager.dll in the main game folder are apparently "Write-protected", or as Windows will show on a Properties tab, "Read-only". Right-click on the files in question, and choose "Properties" from the context menu, and on the first "Genral" tab, at the bottom is the "Attributes" section. Clear the tick mark in the "Read-only" box. OK your way out. Now try the LAA & MultiSH4. Also, the 'modern' Windows OS, in addition to restricting the "Program Files" folders from User intervention (tic), will also cause trouble with your video stream, and you might have to noodle with the settings for it, on that same "Properties" for the SH4.exe file:

You will have to experiment here, since apparently, no two computers are alike. Of course, it all still hinges largely on Mad Mardigan's #2 question largely. If you have a disk version of the game, we could also add a third question: "Did you install the DrirectX v9.0c and its Codecs?", but the newer download versions of the game will do that for you.
