![]() ![]() Dot Mod Custom - ( Meaningful Signatures Overhaul ) Version 1.a it all ways bothered me in coldwaters that the signatures basically were a game of just match up the lines so quite a while back i started work on more meaningful signatures for a Older mod i was working on the basics of this newer approach to signatures was to be more Meaningful and actually tell the player information just by looking at the graphics display in the signature panel so i started to research a lot of vessels to see how many propellers and the size of em also what size the engines or power sources were on em also number and size and the general noisiness of the vessels to show noise i added a brightness behind the signature to match the noise of the target to indicate the general Loudness of the contact then i designed a graphic for each type of propulsion or power types as im now Doing My Dotmod Custom mod ive decided to Re-Use this Concept for this mod their are like 170 + vessels including the new mega-pack add on ones from new campaigns or single missions all these signatures will be covered & Included |||Signature||Display||Types||| so we have : --------------------------------- Very Large Propellers Large Propellers Medium Propellers Small propellers Very small propellers ------------------------------------- Large turbines Medium turbines Small turbines ------------------- Large turbines - Rafted Medium turbines - Rafted Small turbines - Rafted --------------------- Large Diesel engines Medium Diesel engines Small Diesel engines ---------------- Reactors (Nuclear) -------------- Battery Motors (Electric) --------------- with these new Signatures you can tell or get a General idea about what your dealing with Contacts wise and also for faster target Identification even with out a ID or Full Solution on the target as not only will you have a general idea of what you are dealing with at a glance but can Ignore targets you know that are not hostile and leave the AI to auto ID Em this will give you more time to setup better attacks and prioritize your Targets for First Strikes and Termination of the Worse threats to you thus weakling the enemy faster and making mission success or combat victory more likely This mod will come in two versions : DMC (MSO) Ver 1.a this is the standalone Version to use with DotMod or the version you would use if yo have the mega pack as my Audio+ is included all ready in that case DMC (MSO - AUDIO+) Ver 1.a this is the combined MSO & AUDIO+ version to use with the default DotMod ive made two as this way you have Options for what you want on so ect : DotMod then DMC (AUDIO+) Ver 1.a or DotMod then DMC (MSO) Ver 1.a or both at once so : DMC (MSO - AUDIO+) Ver 1.a this work is about 45% done so wont be too long till release Steel Shark
