Don't bother loading flares, any ASM's that are IR guided can easily be handled by the CIWS.
Your main threat are the fast radarguided ASM's. IR guided ASM's tend to be slow and small, so load all chaff, unless you know you are facing off against a specific threat that uses IR missiles.
