A while ago my internet speed dropped, the next day the same even after I reset my modem and restart the PC etc.
So I phone my provider and got a lady on the line, she tested my connection and said it was fine but I still said it had slowed dramatically. So then she said, hold hold, let me try something, then after a minute or two she said try it now it should be better. Well it was fantastic, I got speeds I never had before, then the next day the speed had dropped again, not as bad as it was when I complained but the speeds I got when the lady did something had gone. This then made me think a lot of these providers have the facility to improve internet speeds for some reason throttle back, is it cost saving or something or does it keep their engineers busy and they get money from phone calls? I know in some cases it is where you live but I'm talking in general. Col.
