I'm torn as I've always believed in delayed gratification, but you can't spend it if you're dead.
I brought my mother all the groceries she told me she needed tonight. As I was leaving tonight she came out of her bedroom to tell me she'll be needing milk tomorrow. Holy $#!+ she just doesn't get it!  I am the sacrificial anode.
