Default Request permission to come aboard

Hi all!

I'm Dan, a 51yo from Idaho, USA.

I'm a retired submariner, having served on 2 first flight 688s, two 726 class SSBNs, (one of which I help convert to SSGN) and a forward deployed submarine tender. My "Twilight Tour" was on the staff of a forward deployed submarine squadron in Guam.

My neighbor up the street is a retired submarine officer (I was enlisted), and we had our own form of "co-op play for Cold Waters, in which I'd man the keyboard and he'd sit next to me and make the tactical decisions. He was OOD and I was the crew. Of course, on the real subs, we didn't have 3 fingers of bourbon sitting on the plotter...

He moved away about a year ago, and I pretty much stopped playing Cold Waters. However, now with my state in lockdown due to coronavirus, I'm finding I have run out honeydo's and house repairs to do. So I went looking for a keyboard reference sheet for Cold Waters, and that's how I found you all!
