Free view (SHIFT + F2) not working correctly

All of a sudden whenever I press Shift + F2 I get thrown back to the command room, and only get free view there rather than the area I am trying to move around in, say if I want free view in the radio area or in the Comm tower it won't let me and just shoots me back down to where the Navigator and Chief engineer loiter about.

I'm running on GWX and the only mods i've installed since this issue started happening are the high resolution 1080x1920 mod and SH3 commander, could one of these mods have affected this?

Is there a way to fix this?
