In a tactical situation, when I have a lot going on and need to keep myself aware of what's going on with a minimum amount of effort and juggle my 12 sonar trackers between maneovers, I find the Russian sonar to be a much better sonar interface for the heat of the battle.

The waterfall is great for searching and localizing, but can quickly become a useless mess if there is a lot going on... and the Akula narrowband is MUCH easier to use than the Western bearing scan displays, especially when you have 100 things going on.

Plus, I really like the red color.
