Default Last Patrol

From Otto Majewskis war diary:

"1.III.40. 066-108/AN55. The weather is clear, 0 m/s, 0, 6000, 15m, 3 knt, course 276. Dived an hour before sunrise. No ships in sight. There is shallow waters on the oparea and it's possible that the enemy has placed the unmarked minefields here which can cause a danger to a submerged Uboat. Because of possibility of A/C, I chose to drive submerged anyway."

U22 is still on the patrol.
The boat hit the mine only half an hour after captains last note in his diary.
All hands lost.
OLtn z. S. Otto Majewski lead his boat for five dangerous missions during the early war phase, between september 1939 and march 1940, and during these missions Majewski sinked four ships, total 15'873 tons.
Majewski awarded EKI after his fourth patrol to the english coast.

So what can you say?
Somehow it's a moving moment when you understand you are going down no matter what you try to do. Even in the game...
I loaded it up again to see what really happend, even if I play DID. We dived just in the middle of the field. First two of those bloody things we passed 20 meters away but the third one hit.
