Default Ahoy!

Hello folks!

I was looking at some of my less-played board games, and spotted "The Hunters", and started to read through that a bit. Which got me thinking I haven't played a sub sim in some time...

Dangerous Waters was probably the last I actually played, having done 688(i) and others in the past. I have also played many of the "Harpoon" style games, the latest being Command: Modern Air / Naval Ops.

But the Hunters made me consider going back to WWII, remembering fondly the days of playing Silent Service in the good old days, and spotted the Silent Hunter series (3/4/5) in my Steam Library. Reading that the mods make these good, and in 5's case playable, lead me here!

I managed to: install SH5 from Steam, register it in UPlay, extract the "non-steam" .exe, install the Wolves of Steel mega mod, and play the game!

Reading / watching many of the fine tutorial / videos made helped with learning the game.

It is fun so far!
