Why play a U-boat sim?

I don't believe that unless you have an almost instinctive, inborn attraction to a sim like SHIII you will ever come to enjoy it.

It is like those racing car games I see at the store with the auto steering wheel controlers and brake and gas pedals. I think I would rather have a root canal that play one of those things....but that is just me...and I fault nobody who does enjoy them. I simply don't understand the attraction and waste little time trying to figure it out.
