Moving the Watch Crew aft of the Command Room

i am enjoying TMOwTW after playing TMO, RFD, etc.
i got to thinking that the watch crew is always positioned in the most forward part of the boat. i wonder what it would take to reposition it in the center of the boat, possibly aft of the control room...between crew berthing and the control room. maybe a bit more realistic with the watch crew on the bridge which is directly above the conning tower which is directly above the control room?
i think it is a GUI issue because i do not think i need to change compartments or crewmemberslots, just the crew management screen itself.
if you have any ideas on this topic i would welcome them.
