Help Needed w Half Sunken Playable Ships

I hope thus is the forum for this question. I'm sorry if it's not but here's my problem.
I installed on SH4 4 1.5 the HMS Hood and selected one of the single Missions. But when the game starts it looks like the ship deck is underwater. i thought that if i tried to surface the snip it might rise to the proper level, but it did not do so.
I do have a few playable ships like the Yamato that are spawning on the water at the correct level so i'm not sure just whats causing some ships to spawn mostly underwater. Is this a known problem? Is the problem a SH4 1.4 or SH4 1.5 mismatch issue with the mods?
