http://www.uboatarchive.net/U-530A/U-530NAReport.htm When I was a kid I remember reading an old ratty paperback about u977 and how she schnorkeled her way to Argentina rather than surrender to Allied forces after Germany's surrender. Quite a feat for both boats.
