Default German submarines at a disadvantage

I installed a few weeks ago, the Silent Hunter III with the expansion GWR Gold, and a number of additional MODS that improve somewhat, and hide some flaws in the original game. I've noticed some realistic aspects and others less so, but what does seem very real is in the situation of wide disadvantage in that-boot U German submarines were from 1942. The advance of antisubmarine defense of the allies in the second World War left the types VII and IX converted virtually obsolete tools. It was unfortunate for Germans researching new technologies for submarines, were always overridden by other priorities, and a relief for the Allies. If things had happened in reverse, perhaps the-art Type XXI submarines have entered service two years earlier, and the course of the war might have changed. In virtual simulation of the SH3, many individual missions have given their characteristics, the same predictable ending. A submerged submarine sails at a speed of 7 knots, in water depths not exceeding 20 meters, is doomed, before the appearance of any warship. Whether you attack a convoy ships or remain still and submerged, it is attacked by escort ships and sunk. Not surprisingly 3 out of 4 U-boat crew did not survive the war. SH3 certain mission on the east coast of U.S.A. It was to attack a convoy of 10 merchant ships, protected by a destroyer, two corvettes and anti-submarine aircraft. Water depth: 18 meters. While the submarine at a distance of 3000 meters, without leaning the periscope still, and was detected and warships were quickly turned to attack him. In the meantime he could launch four torpedoes at two merchant ships and sink them, but then suffered the same fate as them: destroyed. This happened fulfilling the mission with a type VII and then a type IXC. The next step was to test a type XXI submarine loaded with torpedoes and sailing submerged at a maximum speed of 17 knots. The difference was very noticeable, because he managed to sink six merchant ships and a torpedo destroyer front. The two smaller, maneuverable and fast corvettes could not be torpedoed, and despite the speed the submarine was hit and sunk with depth charges. Moral: Do not run missions in such conditions risk because someone has a chance to win if otherwise is foolish to try knowing what the outcome. I would like to hear opinions. Thank You.
