The fan on my old video card is starting to go out. I know I really need a new computer, but I just want to keep this thing going a little longer. I've got an XFX nVidia 8600GT that I got a few years ago. A new 9" card will not fit in my case. I don't want to pop in a new 6" card and then have to deal with clearing and installing drivers. Messing with drivers has always made me nervous (I've had bad experiences, even after clearing the old drivers out via Safe Mode and with Driver Cleaner Pro). Anywho, I was looking on NewEgg and I know nothing about VGA coolers since I have never got one before. Since the fan is dying on my card it is getting rather warm. From what I have seen on NewEgg, I'm not sure what VGA cooler would be compatible with my card. I don't want to get one that's real expensive. I've done internet searches for VGA coolers for my card, but the ones I have found are no longer available. I don't want to go the eBay route. I like NewEgg and have been using them for a long time and prefer to get one from them. I sure would appreciate it if someone could help me find one that would screw right onto my card. Thanks!
