It's quite strange,cause no files are overwriten.
I've done some really extended test with TDW exhaust mod. I'll try to explain but forgive me for my english.

1.I have two SH5 installations-one with OHII v2.5, second without it.There is some mystery conflict betwen these two mods.
Have about hundred other mods-most of them are changed by myself-but that is not playing any role there,cause trust me I tested all pretty well in about 7 years of SH gamming.
2.On my second(noOHII) installation exhaust mod works fine.
3.There is one essential file in TDW Exhaust mod for each submarine there.It is called NSS_Uboat..._FX.fx file(...-submarine version).The mod can be installed without .dat file or textures provided with it in original.It will work just fine just not as pretty as original(darker smoke particles).
4.So what have I done so far:
In OHII installation, I removed .dat file and textures.I removed all other .fx files for submarines in mod,except for type VIIA.So my TDW Exhaust folder contains only NSS_Uboat7a_FX.fx file.Single missions works fine.My experiment shows me that mod works as intended-no other submarine has exhaust,only type VII.
5.When I try to launch new campaign-CTD right before entering bunker.I suspect CTD happens only in bunker.
6.If I run saved campaign game saved on open sea(no harbour,no bunker,no other ships),exhaust mod runs OK.
7.I even changed all ID pointers(numbers) via HEX in case any double pointers,but no luck.Like previous,mod works on single mission,but CTD on starting OH campaign.

It drives me crazy,very very frustrating...I read on subsim that others have the same problem and the mod is just not compatible with OHII, but I want to know why is that so?
