Reporting for duty

Hi.

I'm new here and want to play Silent Hunter 5 at most realistic as possible.
I've served in the royal netherlands navy for 6 years on several frigat. I had a coaple of jobs but my favourite jobs where Helmsman and sonar operator active and passive (Towed Array). I left the navy in 2009 and I'm currently working as a Project Manager at a IT company. (healthcare sector)

Can someone help me to get started and point me to the mods that will change the game in to a realistic simulation.
