53 hour swim from Cuba to the US
64-year-old Diana Nyad, became the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a protective cage.
It took her 53 hours, which is till faster than flying commercial airliners. Way to go Ms. Nyad! That's quite the accomplishment. 64 years old. http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/02/world/...html?hpt=hp_t1 Evidently, one of the more serious hazards for this swim were the Jellyfish.  I can understand that.
