Default Another tourists dies on our roads.

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/ar...ectid=10836193

The death of this honey moon couple is the latest accident that could of been avoided if they knew our road rules. I was just reading this and thought what a waste just married another lost. They failed to give way to the right where a truck t bone their car causing the death of the husband. This is the 6th tourist accident ive read this year killed on our roads, two were on their honeymoon, another 6 young tourist all in the same car where 4 died from their injuries the driver misjudge the distance while passing. And far too often tourists in camper vans sightseeing in hill country coming round a corner & driving straight into a logging truck because they were driving on the wrong side of the road. Thats the most common cause of road deaths agmonst tourists here. One couple in a camper van was driving on the wrong side of the city motorway early one foggy morning and crashed into on coming traffic. Killed.

NZ road rules Tips
all traffic turning right to give way to a vehicle coming from the opposite direction and turning left. This applies at cross roads, T-intersections and driveways where both vehicles are facing each other with no signs or signals, or the same signs or signals.

We drive on the left side not the right like some of you would.

For vehicles the drivers side is on the right this must be weird if you are use to the left.

Speed limit is 100km on open roads, 50km on urban roads.

If you come here drive carefully!

Edit: Also i should mention some of our roads are terrible and a death trap if you are a tourist, narrow with plenty of blind corners & easy to misjudge the distance if passing or turning.
