Default No Contact Updates

Hello folks.

Now that I've had some practice intercepting... I want to try turning off the contact updates.

Few questions though..

Exactly how much stuff doesn't get written on the map?

Sonar reports from my sonar guy.... will I get the bearing line and approximate distance? Will the guy no longer tell me if the contact is closing or moving away?

Will I get anymore silent contact reports? Or does that go away, too.

If my guy on top finds a ship, and tells me ship spotted, will there be at least the initial contact location on the map?

Or is it completely 100% all me on the navigation map.

I've read alot about 'don't do it'. Too much headache. I guess I'll discover that for myself.

Any tips greatly appreciated.
