Default Visibility: Edit the Fog, Sea-Mist or whatever you call it!

I'm running NYGM 3.6A with h.sie's Version 1.6B1. I've included the 'Night Vision Fix' as well and left the values set by the modders as/is. (By the way I can't thank everyone involved with those mods enough! It's a totally different sim!) I don't think I've used any other mods that mess with the ability for my watch crew to scan the horizon.

Now I'm 99.9% certain NYGM has a 16km environment so I can assume that on a perfect day (no fog, no clouds) my crew can see 16km. At night, with the fix under the same conditions that is reduced to 8km.

My question is how much does fog reduce the vision of my watch crew: light, moderate, heavy. I don't think it's linear and it's pretty tough to test.
