Noob help please - where is my SOAN?

Hi

I've looked for this but cant find an answer.

I've installed the game, its patched and am playing with Sobers mod list. I've done the tutorials during which I definitely had the ship identification manual, but now its disappeared

Whenever I toggle the charts button I get the charts, but there is no ship identification book. Anyone know where its gone?

I did find something on t'internet that said you have to switch off TDC and relock. I did that but it didnt help.

Help is appreciated.
