Renown and upgrade bafflement

Hi kaleuns.

Tis June 30 in the year 1940, my renown stands at 14545.68 but I am bemused. Despite seeing a IXB is available from around mid '39, I still have no option to upgrade, nor to a VIIC

I'm really not sure why this is happening, from memory I have renown to spare. Now I come to think of it I have no option to upgrade to twin flak guns either

I'm almost positive this has been available in the past almost from day 1.

I'm playing GWX 3 + mods ( A list of which I can post ), SH3C using historic U-Boat availability dates. Any ideas as to why BDU has denied me a new shiny IXB ??

All help much appreciated as always

PS I'm on patrol 10, so any ideas that doesn't involve killing my career will earn mucho beers
