Oh absolutely! Many a vessel was lost at sea during storms, and man were damaged while docked too.
Haven't had any issues with them running decks awash, in fact just the opposite, with 6 to 11 foot waves, they aren't as high as stock waves, and can be rather anti climactic. They just kinda ride up to the top of the roll, and slide down the back side of it after. Even the subs rarely get decks awash now during stormy conditions, and harbors seem to be a bit more calm now compared to stock, and the wave / enviornmental mods. Just wish we could tie the wave direction to the wind direction, but that's out, and reduce the "waves hitting you from all sides" like they do here on Lake Superior, Huron and Michigan. The open ocean tends to have them going roughly the same direction since the water isn't contained in a small area like the big lakes.
