It does say specifically it is an "online multiplayer shooter". Might be their failing actually; a lot of people just aren't interested in MP-only games.


And to the earlier question of why they didn't sign on with a publisher: it's because no one is interested in funding it. Rainbow Six went from 1st-person tactical squad-based shooter to 3rd person cover-based shooter, complete with regenerating health. It's what the majority wants, it is what sells the most.

Sadly, that situation is reflected in the funding status... I'd fund it if I had a creditcard but they'd still fall far short of their target.

It's a bit odd though: Arma is doing well enough to warrant constant support and sequels. There's definitely a market for something like Ground Branch.
