[req]info on depth gauges in conning tower

I am working on a mod and trying to find info on the typical depth gauges found in the conning tower. The stock game has a 0-165 foot depth gauge in the CT. TMO 2.5 has a 0-600 foot gauge.

Apparently, late war Balao subs did have a 0-600 foot gauge in the CT, although it appears to have been more aft and not next to the steering wheel as in the game.

However, what would have been more typical for the early-mid war fleet boats, Porpoise to Gato? 0-165/0-450/0-600? I have not been able to find any info on this.
