Deck gun controls in free camera?

Howdy.....

Would it be possible to sumhow make the deck gun controls work in free camera mode via some kind of re-scripting or sumthing? (had an idea for a kind of forward observer ability so that when your engaging targets such as field guns from multiple Kilometers away its a bit easier.) I have no experience with scripting or anything but if anybody does and can point me in the right direction that would be great. cheers.

(Yes i am well aware of the extreme unlikeliness of a sub working with a forward observer
