crosshairs on my uzo turns red, and how do i get ridd of...

theres 2 things bottering me

1. my crosshairs on my uzo turns red when im lookin at a boat. in night this greatly reduses the immersion for me as it tells me something is out there, even if i cant see it. anyone know how/if its possible to turn of this feature ?

2. how do i get rid of the message telling me that a ship has been sunk/destroyed? it too ruins the immersion when it tells me a boat has been destroyed, even though it still floats.
