Default High frequency noise and your body.

Well, well, well. As if the month wasn't bad enough, it just got worse.

Now, I've an incredibly good sense of hearing and I'm able to hear slightly higher frequencies then most people. So said the doctor anyway.

So, I had my headset with the mic on last night and I went to plug it in the mic portion in the back of the computer. Well, I got the wrong jack. Instant, extremely loud blast of feedback. Serious ringing in my ears for awhile but it went away.

Now here is the interesting thing. Not long after the sonic blast, I got extremely ill, in every sense of the word. Very tired, mood kinda went really downhill, audio and visual distortions. I ended up going to bed after a few hours. I still feel a bit...off today.

So I guess the question is, did the sound cause the sudden wave of illness or was it incidental? I'm inclined to believe it was the sound. I suspect it threw off the equilibrium in the brain, which in turn made me rather ill. This is just pure speculation of course. Sound of any kind today, is somewhat unpleasant in an unexplainable way. I don't expect the effect to last long but it's interesting nonetheless.

So the moral for today? Take off your headphones before you decide to screw around with the plugs. That's right kiddies, you could damage your hearing. Ouchie.
