I got the correct answer, but then I've read it several times over the years - I even think it's been here before but don't hold me to it.
The question now is what was my answer when I very first read it?  And in reality it's not a proper test as it's just basic problem solving, and nor was it created by a psychologist to be so. YOU SHOULDN'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ!
