I had just woke up and turned on the news about 5 minutes after the first plane hit and just sat there all day watching everything.
I sometimes use to say " I think I'll watch the morning news to see if the world ended and nobody told me" I said that that day and for many in NY the world did indeed end. I haven't said that since. Magic
