SH3 Commander Career Question

Hello, I just installed Commander and seem to have it up and running, Im pretty sure I have my game path set up correctly. But...

when I go to start a new career using Commander, I set up which flotilla I want, what year and month and all that stuff. Then I hit launch SH3. I go to career and I see my Kaleun's name, Click on it, go to new career. It says my starting date, year and flotilla. I hit start. But now it says I have a IIA instead of the VIIB which i selected through commander. I also start in 1939 instead of 1941. My briefing says which Grid to patrol, and a little information about whats happening in the month I am starting in.

What is going on?

Also I noticed my NewInterior mod wasnt, so I am a little worried my other mods arent working too (didnt stay in game long enough to find out).

I am using GWX3.0, current mods are-
16km Atmosphere
Alternative Flotillas
Late War Sensors and Snorkels
Lite Harbor Traffic
No Medals on Crew
FM_NewInterior_V1.0
