Victoria II vs. Pride of Nations

I have been pondering for bit between Victoria II and Pride of Nations and scanned the Paradox forums and though a few bucks more I went with Victoria II over Pride of Nations.

From what I gathered they seem somewhat similar though some said that PON turn interface is very lengthy and makes the game progress a bit slowly and that certain aspects of management where poorly done like things that should be more automatic being manual.

I went with Vic II because it has a longer time span than PON(and I am interested in this era so more time is better) and seemed to have a more popular interface also I saw more complaints about PON being buggy.

Dose anyone have both Pride of Nations and Victoria II?I am curious to find out what is different between the two or if they are more or less similar.
