Save game issues

For some reason, after saving a game, when I load that game, it never seems to load properly.

I get in game, but the situations are different. It may be a different time than it was when I saved, and the ship locations are different.

I don't understand this.

It will often say things like "You're in shallow water" when I am in open sea or "torpedo x away" when I havent fired anything.

I really dont get it.

I am running TMO with the RSRD campaign and have made no recent changes to it.
