Convoy Routes

Has anyone tried researching and scouting historical convoy routes for hunting? I ran into a number of convoys east of Newfoundland, which matches the routes on the groovy little map in this Wikipedia article:

The routes to the south of Iceland look like they'll make for excellent hunting grounds once the Soviets are in the war and convoys to them merge with imports from North America.
