There was a time not too long ago where the Russian Military dumped far worse things at sea.



That's a Project 1783A Vala class YRR ("Radiological Repair Barge") its mission was to store liquid nuclear waste and dump it at sea after she filled up her tanks.

International pressure in the early 1990s put an end to that. Now the ships just sit there filled with nuclear waste.

Funny Greenpeace protests our navy for having potential nuclear disasters while they don't seem to bother much with the Russians and their actual nuclear disasters...
