Modded guns on subs

Hi to all.
Finished putting Ships guns on my sub. Thanks to ETR3(SS) for the help.
The problem is that they are battle ship grey obviously to match the colour of the suface ship they came from.

I noticed a modded sub ( Blackwolf ) that has black modded guns.
Please can anyone explain how this is achieved as all my attempts have failed.
