Using a combined micro-grill-combo myself (additional to electro-stove and water-cooker), and having good experience with it, I only say: it depends on the type and ammount of food. For some purposes, micros use less electricity, for others, they use more. If you use it for everything, your electricity bill will grow considerably.

Preferred would be a gas-stove and a huge Wok, cast iron, uncoated. Lets you regulate temperature better than anything else.

What saves you real money (more than 50% compared to the bakery shop, calculating both electricity and ingredients), is a good homebaker machine. That I use since I left the home of my parents. Panasonic's is the best you can get. I grind the flour myself, too. All in all a wholegrain bread that costs me around 4-5 Euros at the baker, selfmade costs around 2 euros or less (and tastes much better).
