My sister in law has a an HP computer she spent about $1200 on last year. She bought it around July, so we're pretty sure the 1 year warranty is expired.
The issue with it is that when you hit the power button the light inside the power button turns on, and the power supplies fan starts to spin. The fan stops spinning and the light turns off. This process repeats endlessly until you pull out the power cable. When you plug the cord into the back a green light on the back will light up and stay lit until you unplug the cord. I'm thinking the issue is that the power supply is faulty, but am unsure. Before I make her go out and buy a new power supply, I want to be sure this is the issue.
