Default Silent hunter in ww1

I notice that some people want a future silent hunter game to be set in the first world war, well not a lot of people know about the first battle of the atlantic ( I dont know alot myself!) but here are some things I do know. If you want a silent hunter in ww1 there will be a lot of differences like:

NO depth charges til 1916, they werent invented til then. (The war was from 1914-18) Until 1916 most u-boats were lost to mines, accidents, freindly fire and ramming or shelled by destroyers.

NO aircraft or flak guns. Aircraft were too primative back then, and almost all of the planes were on the western front. Only one u-boat during ww1 was lost to aircraft.

Most of the u-boat war was around the channel, north sea, and irish coast, and medditerian. Onlyduring late 1917, that the war would progress to the atlantic. And you'lle only get to the eastern US. coast when the war is about 4 or 5 months from ending.

Torpeados will be primative and not veryaccurate. no hydrophone nor radar, you would have to REALLY rely on your watch crew.(Your crew will be about 14 or 15 men aswell.)

you'lle never set up u-boat bases in la rochelle, st. nazire, brest or any other french port town. And it wount be as easy to get out to the atlantic, you'd have to start of in wilhevium( I spelt it wrong )

Well there we are, if you want a silent hunter in ww1, there will be a lot of changes.

By the way first post, hello!
