as far as AI vs human opponents... i say a mix of both... the sub crew would never know whether they were going up against real or ai... and neither would the skimmers on top
![]() finally (a mini rant), i think that the reason we are so bored with sub vs ai is twofold... 1- not enough involvement with the sub... D to dive is not really immersive enough... and doesn't offer enough hands on... and maybe more than one player in the crew... 2- the ai is either too smart, or too dumb... an ai that will 'think out' the situation... trail you from your baffled areas... go silent and wait for you to make the next move... ai tanker captains that'll run into a dense fog bank... turn on you and ram you... ever see the movie "The Bedford Incident" ? a lil past WWII, but a naval sim with some of the elements from that film could be quite challenging... and fun... for both the destroyer crew, and the sub crew players... --Mike |
