Tow line
That fin opening at the bow of GATO is perfect for hitching a ride.
The problem becomes where are you and where is the nearest allied vessel or sub that can tow you.. Would love to know if Navy records show subs being towed back and how often it happened. Certainly wouln't warrant a clean sweep broom rather an upside down deck mop...
