Status of Silent Hunter 5?

I've just finished a quick peek at a review at Subsim.

Overall, it appears that the game has some very nice features and got good scores in several categories but the instability and bugs are unacceptable.

Has anything changed as far as patching up the game so it's ready to start playing? Can I play it with my current rig?
