Umm I had my longest sniping kills yesterday the distance was half between 2 dots. Two dots is 850m while 4 dots(double of two) would make a target roughly half the range at 450m. So half between 2 dots would probably make the target at double 850m or about 1,600m or 1.6 click.
Windage played a big factor at this distance which I measured using the kestrel. I also played with scope setting too. I made 2 kills at about 1,500-1,600m(standing up marksman in the woods) and another 1,400m-1,500m(a BMP 3 commander sticking out). All hit targets were stationary. But I expended 6 magazines of TAC-50SD(silenced) or 30 bullets and only made that 3 kills and many many close hits ![]() Sniping is hard and painful because of the waiting and the ever changing adjustment thanks to the ever changing windage(going alternately in two direction and in changing strength). Hitting a moving target(walking) at more than 1,000 or 1,200m is also a pain in the ass due to combination of leading the target and the windage. This TAC-50SD sniping rifle is amazing because they could engage a target up to 2,000m and they come equipped with silencer too(Played with ACE2 and ACEX). The only shortcoming is my poor skills ![]() Well ArmA 2 is incredibly realistic when it comes to sniping(bullet trajectory). I've never played a more realistic shooter game than this. Edit: After a further practice I realized it was more probably 1,100 and 1,300m instead of 1,600 and 1,500 m
