I have a high-end system with the graphic setting set at optimum and I pretty much have the same thing you are experiencing (I use the 20km version). For me, this isn't a big deal. I can tolerate these types of "flaws". Trying to be a realist (or as realistic as I can be) within the sim is fun in itself, however, I do like to wander about looking at certain scenes from a seagulls point of view and not a high altitude bombers'... ![]() The very thing I admire and enjoy the most with the SH5 water mod is the realistic colors of the water and sky in all weather conditions. The water movement itself in high winds in the North Atlantic is a good trade off for the short-comings of the other so-called graphic "flaws". Usually, if I am in a newer boat on the onset of a new career, I will keep the external camera on. After the 1st or 2nd patrol I turn it off and simulate the actual views from the conning tower, etc. Therefore, the problems you mentioned do not matter. But that's me. Not saying you should do that too. So, it is kind of a trade-off. ![]() |
