Default Luck - good and bad

OK just trying out RFB 2.0 - just after war start and I am sent to Indochina - on a really dark stormy night - I literally stumbled into a Jap TF - with a Kongo BB just in range - dive and shoot all 4 forward tubes at her - go deep and hear 3 hits. Manage to sneak away with only one depth charge attack even getting close. Kongo sunk - 30,000 tons cause I got lucky.

5 days later near Saigon - a small coastal freighter - calm day no wind smooth - set him up for an attack from the stern tubes. Finally after 10 torp shots and about 30 deck gun shots I manage to sink him - only 1,800 tons - what happened to my good luck. I am guessing he saw the first torps because he was changing speed and direction like he was drunk. Only thing to do was surface and put a few shells into him. Finally slowed him down to about 4 knots - caught up to him and put two torps into him as he had made me just a little mad. I would say my luck went bad but I think it was more like poor shooting.

Oh well still have 10 torps on board and about 50% of my fuel. Time to go find someone else I can shoot at.
