How do you deal with evading targets?

In manual targetting, of course.

How do you crackerjaclk shots cope with a wildly manuevering target after it realized there's danger about? I usually cut my estimated target speed by a third, and sort of average out the angle on the bow better the two extremes of it's zigzags. It works about half the time, but may be due more to luck than anything else.

Bacause of this, convoy attacks are usually a one-shot affair for me.
